About me
As a photojournalist, I worked for many years in Germany for daily newspapers, magazines and industrial clients. My focus was always on capturing the decisive moment and the subtle nuances, always staying close to people and their environment.
However, this approach to photography did not develop solely through everyday editorial work. It was shaped by several years I spent in Cadaqués on the Costa Brava. Its atmosphere, the people and the artistic environment continue to inspire my calm style, focused on the special moment, which later also found recognition and was awarded in a journalistic context.
My camera was my constant companion, and away from commissioned work, some very special images were created there. In analog black-and-white photography, I captured everyday life and the special atmosphere of this place: the people, the architecture, life in the harbor, the morning light on the rocks, quiet winter days and the winding alleys that Salvador Dalí once knew just as well as I did.
The photographs show Cadaqués beyond tourist clichés: calm, pared down, and shaped by an almost timeless atmosphere. They were created out of the need to capture the mood and poetry of this place – not for eternity, but to prevent them from falling into oblivion. Photographed with classic black-and-white film, the images are a silent homage to a place in a time that today lives on only in pictures.
For a long time, the negatives lay in my archive. Now I have carefully digitized and reworked them, paying particular attention to ensuring that the original character of the photographs is preserved. They show Cadaqués as I experienced it: reduced, timeless and atmospheric. Each print is more than just a picture – it is a piece of living memory from a time when Cadaqués was still a little quieter.
All works are produced on high-quality Hahnemühle FineArt paper. The prints are made exclusively to order and delivered with a Certificate personally signed by me, guaranteeing their authenticity.
